Cultural & Pilgrimage Events
- St Davids Cathedral Festival & Music Events: The National Youth Orchestra of Wales performs on 31 July. These high‑profile concerts fill the 12th‑century nave with rich acoustics and atmosphere.
- Family Pilgrimage and Children’s Trail Activities: Through July and August, there are interactive guided family pilgrimage days and Cathedral explorer trails for young children. There are family activities at the Close garden (Erw Dewi) on Tuesdays 23 July & 13 August. Also a bigger Big Family Pilgrimage on 15 August with storytelling, games, and walks to the Cathedral .
Outdoor Activities & Nature
- Brilliant Bats and Dark Skies Events: On 14 August, Oriel y Parc Visitor Centre hosts a guided bat‑spotting walk around St Davids Cathedral at dusk. Later, on 28 August, the “Dark Skies Day” features stargazing events led by the Preseli Astronomy Society. There’ll be storytelling about seabirds returning at dusk, and telescopes for night‑sky viewing .
- Outdoor Theatre: From late July (29 July) to mid‑August (12 August), Festival Arts stages outdoor theatre at St Davids Bishop’s Palace—usually a Shakespeare play. Children’s adaptations and poetic evenings are held in nearby village halls too. Other venues across the county offer performances like Pride and Prejudice or The Wind in the Willows in the evenings .
Community & Local Highlights
- Youth Pilgrimage: From 4 to 8 August, a youth pilgrimage will take place at Carn‑Nwchwn Farm near St Davids. It will mix worship, fellowship, creative activities and music—aimed at teens and young families .

- Explore the rugged Pembrokeshire Coast Path from St Davids, including walks to Whitesands Bay, Porthclais Harbour, and hidden coves. You can book coasteering, kayaking or snorkeling in local adventure centres .
