Looking North at Newgale beach
The coastal path between Newgale and Nolton Haven makes for a great walk. It is a good sample of what the Pembrokeshire coastline has to offer. This section of the path stretches for about four miles, which ends in Notlon Haaven on the Puffin Shuttle bus route allowing you to get back to Newgale without having to walk back (check bus time tables to make sure the bus is running).

Start of the Coast Path at Newgale
The landscape along the route is varied, with a combination of grassy cliffs, sandy beaches, and rugged rocky formations. You will start at Newgale beach, with its two and half miles of sandy expanse and breathtaking views of the surrounding cliffs. To begin walk to the south end of Newgale beach and take path from the layby on the roadside as the road rises out of Newgale. From here you will begin to gain altitude and get a great view of the whole of St Brides Bay.
On the Pembrokeshire Coast Path
As you progress be prepared for a few short steep climbs and descents, sturdy footwear is advisable. As with all coast path walks in Pembrokeshire you will get plenty of exercise and rewarded with spectacular seascapes. Keep an eye out for wildlife, the Pembrokeshire Coast Path is a paradise for birdwatchers. You may catch sight of seabirds like gulls and fulmars gliding gracefully overhead, and if you’re lucky there might be a seal hauled out in one of the coves.
Nolton Haven
The rock near Rickets Head
From the towering rock at Rickets Head its isn’t long before you get to Nolton Haven. As you near the hamlet you will descend down to the north end of the little beach. In summer Nolton Haven is popular with families and has a lifeguard station. There is a pub and restaurant alongside a car park and a bus stop for the Puffin Shuttle in Nolton Haven.

Druidstone Haven and Broad Haven
If you choose to continue a further mile and a half you will reach the larger bay at Druidstone Haven and two and a half miles after that is the bigger village of Broad Haven. All are on the bus route (the bus runs seasonally).
