Our well-equipped and comfortably furnished apartment Porth y Rhaw, is the perfect home from home base from which to discover all that Pembrokeshire has on offer.

This apartment is named after the remote cove Porth y Rhaw which translated means port of the shovel or possibly the oar – a tiny rocky, shale cove at the bottom of a lovely small valley walk, with only a few parking bays just off the road at Ninewells, about 3 miles south of St Davids. On the south promontory of the cove the remains of a large Iron Age fort, which has been extensively excavated, is being eroded and lost to the sea. The descent to the beach is awkward and very steep, rocky and slippery, so beware and there is no real path at the bottom and descent involves a scramble over rocks as it too has been eroded.

Comfort and Convenience

Furnished with comfort and quality in mind Porth y Rhaw, one of the larger of our ground floor apartments, has a spacious open plan area downstairs and sleeps 2 people in a double bedroom. The sofas in the lounge area will provide you with a relaxing environment after busy days adventuring and exploring the wonderful Pembrokeshire Coast. This has a front door as opposed to patio doors but does open up onto the peaceful shared courtyard, where you have a patio table to enjoy al fresco meals and relax. You can operate your gas central heating to suit your needs, allowing for a really cosy warm apartment, especially in colder winter months, plus you have the added benefit of the coal effect electric fireplace for a cosy feel and atmosphere. A well equipped kitchen/dinner which although open plan is quite large and separate to the living room, will seat you plus a couple of dinner guests too, for either a home cooked meal or a takeaway from the many venues on your doorstep. Its high street location is so convenient, with shops, pubs and bus stops just around the corner, all just minutes away. Our comfortable mattresses and double glazing will assist a good night’s sleep.

Your Apartment

All Ground Floor:

Access to your ground floor apartment is through your front door in the corner of our central and shared, tranquil paved courtyard, which has established shrubs and flowerbeds. You will have access to a patio table and chairs.
This apartment is not dog friendly and is carpeted throughout with exception of the kitchen area which is lino and bathroom which is tiled.

The front door opens into a spacious kitchen/dining area – the dining area has a large table which comfortably seats you and any guests you may invite for dinner. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious with an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave and washer/dryer.

Straight through the hall is the lounge area – 1 sofa, 2 armchairs, smart TV, DVD player, CD/radio player, electric coal effect fireplace.
